So as I said before, Braxton has not been sleeping at all at night. He curls up his body, wiggles and just screams. We have not been getting over an hour at a time of sleep. He has also been spitting up ALOT. So since we are going to California on Tuesday, I decided to take him to the doctor just to get him checked out yesterday so I could have a peace of mind about my trip. I was totally expecting "he probally teething", stomach virus or worse case an ear infection.
I was so tired when his doctor entered, I began to cry. I told him what was going on. He seemed very concerned, which made me concerned. He then told me he wanted me to go to the lab for blood work and go get stomach x-rays. I was getting really worried at this point. It took the lady that was doing his blood two pricks to get his blood, and the x-ray lady 4 times to get the x-ray. My poor baby was screaming so loud that another nurse came in and told the lab "when children are screaming this loud, shut the door so they don't scare the other patients". Thanks, lady. I already knew my child was disrupting the entire office.
We went back in to the room and the doctor came back in. He said he was concerned with his white blood count and his x-ray. He told me he wanted me to take him to Cooks Children's hosptial, because he watned some tests run. I said "o, to the lab?" He said no you need to go to the ER. Me being tired and stupid, I said "when?". He siad NOW, but I don't think it is life threatening. WOW! I was freaking out!
So called Nate, all the grandparents and so on and Nate met me at the hospital. They did some more x-rays of his stomach and NO blood work. The doctor said that he thinks he is just having bad reflux, but if it does not improve they will need to run more tests. They started him on some medication. Hopefully it will work, my baby will be out of pain, and we can all(he is waking Brock up when he is screaming) get some sleep.

We had the SAME problem! Sadie would just scream and scream. We switched her to the Enfamil Lactofree and within 48 hours she was a TOTALLY different child and we haven't had a problem since. Just some friendly advice! I will be praying for you because I know how frustrating it gets. Hang in there and take a break to nap when you can-I know YEAH RIGHT!
I'm sorry that you guys are having to deal with this! I hope that it will be under control soon and that you guys will have some answers. I will pray for Braxton and for you guys.

Ugh. We've been there for sure with yucky reflux! I'm sorry your doc was a stinker and scared you. That's never fun. I hope the meds work quickly. Once we got Jack on the right combination of medication he was like a different baby!
