The Cast is Off!!

Braxton got his cast off on Tuesday! He was so happy to finally take a bath! His leg is SO skinny and he is still walking with a limp if he is not in his brace. That evening we had to go Braxton some new shoes to fit his brace. I took himn to Stride Rite because I wanted someone to make sure his foot was sized correctly. I already knew that I would have to buy 2 different shoes since we were told that we would need 2 sizes bigger for the left leg. I was so happy when I was checking out the man who had helped us said " Whenever you have to get two of the same shoe, because your child has braces, you get 40% off". That made me SUPER happy after a long bad day. That will be another blog post!

I need Potty Training Advice:

The week before Braxton got his cast put on, I started him in underwear. He did really great with just a handfull of accidents. When he got the cast on I stopped in fear that he would have an accident and it would get in the cast and it would smell SO bad! So I just put him back in pull ups. He knows when he has a pull up on and loves to go potty in it! I am having the same problem with the brace. I don't want the pee to run down his leg and get on the brace- there is lots of foam on it to obserb the pee and start smelling. So any suggestions on what to do? Should I just suck it up and put him back in underwear? But I do know he will be wearing this brace for a while and that could be months of stinky braces! Any advice is welcomed!!
