What a Day!

Today has been a day for the record books and one I would like to soon forget. It started out great. We went to the park with some friends and Brock was having a wonderful time. Then all of the sudden he was falling off a 3 1/2 foot bridge at the play ground. The thud was so loud, it makes me sick at my stomach. He just laid there and screamed. I called the doctor and they could not see him until 2:30 and they wanted him to stay awake since he had hit his head. So I thought I would be the good mom and take the kids to the library. We had a good time looking at books. We went to get into the car and I safely buckled both kids into their car seats. Then I walked around to my door to see my keys laying nicely in the seat. I screamed very loudly and a very sweet lady came to help me. She dialed 911 and the Fire Truck complete with lights and sirens was there in 3 minutes. It took about 1 minute to open the truck and get the kids out. I was hysterical, but very thankful they came, but was it really necessary to send 4 firemen and have the lights and sirens on. This will be a day I will never forget. Brock did go to the doctor and he is fine.

I'm so sorry you had a day like this! Maybe some day you will be able to laugh about the fire trucks. At least you didn't try to take care of it yourself. You asked for help when it was needed.

I am so sorry Ryann but I am nearly in tears laughing so hard. I cannot believe that happened but I wish that there was a video camera around. I am glad that you and Brock survived the day!

I am so sorry about your day. Hopefully today will be a better day. I am sure Brock liked the fire truck sirens though. Maybe someday if it happens again, Nathan can come get them out. At least he will be a familiar face.
